MONTEPAGANO WINE EXHIBITION RETURNS. 51ST EDITION IN THE NAME OF NOVELTY AND TRAVEL TO LEARN ABOUT ABRUZZO WINERIES. AUGUST 4-6 IN THE HISTORIC VILLAGE OF ROSETO.

The Mostra dei Vini di Montepagano (Montepagano Wine Show) is back and, in its 51st edition, aims to showcase, as if on a journey through the most fascinating wineries of Abruzzo, different declinations of the most representative wines of the area, involving the most illustrious names on the regional wine scene. During the event, which will take place in Montepagano from August 4 to 6 under the banner of “Taste the trip, savor the journey,” people will be able to taste excellent products, discover their secrets, thanks to talk shows with the greatest winemakers in the area, appreciate every nuance and be able to witness the evaluations made by a qualified jury.

Two historicities coming together: that of the Borgo and that of the winemaking tradition. Four major innovations without disrupting tradition. The first is the one that concerns talk shows that will feature producers and journalists who will discuss with respect to various issues concerning wine; then the historic building that housed the convent will be turned into the Regional Enoteca, and a series of guided tours are planned that will “help” visitors to better taste the wines. Finally, the last major innovation is the creation of a Prize that will be awarded on the judgment of a technical jury composed of journalists, sommeliers and industry experts.

Important panel discussions where wine will be a major player and where, nationally renowned industry experts will take turns to also talk about the impact on production of climate change and innovation. It will also discuss wine tourism, a phenomenon that is growing significantly and has about 14 million enthusiasts.
The 51st edition of the Wine Show represents a journey that opens up Abruzzo and Italy.

THE EXHIBITION. The visit to the Exhibition, which will be opened on August 4 at 8 p.m., will be offered in an informal atmosphere, and the most effective attraction will be one that focuses on the theme of the healthiness of the environment and – consequently – of the products offered for tasting. Each company will turn the audience of visitors into tasters/consumers, with the tasting explained from time to time. Visitors should be entertained with a tall narrative that contains cultural stimuli and refers to the history, traditions, myths and legends related to the product, as well as where possible. This narrative will also need to materialize in written material to be offered to visitors. Combining cultural suggestions with fine wine always offers a winning result.

The event will close on Sunday, August 6, with the presentation of two awards: wine show award, with the participation of journalists, sommeliers and the public; packaging award 2023.
