Villa Clemente is a historic residence located in the northern area of Roseto degli Abruzzi. Built in the late 19th century in the Art Nouveau style, it was part of a group of seaside residences along the coast.
Designed by the nobleman Vincenzo Clemente, it soon became the main residence of the Clemente family. The building has been expanded over time, adding a second and third floor. The original structure probably dates back to 1857, and the ground floor walls, made of large river stones and lime, indicate a very ancient construction. The interiors feature open walls with high arches between rooms, vaulted or barrel ceilings, and frescoes. The exterior, made of exposed bricks, showcases Neo-Gothic decorations and a tower-belvedere that houses the spiral staircase. The garden, which once extended to the sea, has been divided by the railway.
Today, the villa is owned by the municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi and will undergo a redevelopment in the coming months.
