In the locality of San Giovanni in Roseto degli Abruzzi, you will find the Church of San Giovanni Battista, a modern building constructed in 2010. The facade of the church is characterized by simplicity and essentiality, making it very elegant: the pitched roof is slightly elevated above ground level and surrounded by a small courtyard. On either side of the entrance door, there are two large rectangular windows, while at the top of the facade, there is a round window. On the two longer sides of the church, there are four rectangular windows, each adorned with delicate stained glass paintings.
The interior of the church consists of a single nave covered by a wooden roof with exposed beams. The sanctuary area, raised by two steps compared to the rest of the nave, features a modern altar. On the facade facing the worshippers, there is a reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper image.
