SAN GIOVANNI

San Giovanni District

San Giovanni is a hamlet of Roseto degli Abruzzi, located along Provincial Road 150.

The Church of San Giovanni Battista is the most important building in the hamlet and was constructed in 2010. It is a modern structure with a simple façade and a slightly raised gable roof compared to ground level. On either side of the entrance door, there are two large rectangular windows, while a round window is present on the upper part of the façade. The interior of the church has a single nave with a wooden ceiling and exposed trusses, while the sanctuary area is slightly elevated compared to the rest of the church and features a modern altar. On the external façade, facing the faithful, there is a reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper.

The hamlet of San Giovanni is also an excellent option for sea lovers, as it is located only 2 kilometers from the beach of Roseto degli Abruzzi.
