Sea Lily, a rare and mysterious plant, is found along rocky and sandy coastlines

A special place in the flora of the Reserve is occupied by the Sea Lily.

Its corolla is composed of six white petals that open in a star shape, while the center is adorned with small yellow flowers. It blossoms between May and June, depending on the climate conditions Its beauty and rarity make this flower a symbol of Italian coastal biodiversity and an attraction for botany and photography enthusiasts.

But it hides pitfalls as it is poisonous: it can cause irritation, skin burns and respiratory problems if ingested.
